Assignment 1c

The first person I chose is Jade Gonzalez.  When she visualizes the Caribbean she thinks of exotic beahces and beatiful places far away.  From Jade I learned, Paulo Freire strongly believed that education was to be interactive between the parent and teacher.  She also added, In 1946, Freire became the director of the Pernambuco Dept. Of Education and culture of SESI ( The Social Service of Industry).  

The second person I chose was Adamo Mazzaferro.  He is taking this class to grasp a better understanding of the cultural history of the Latin people.  When he thinks of the Caribbean he thinks of a tropical land with crystal clear warm water.  While discussing Paulo Freire he taught me that, the philosophy which Freire implements stems from Plato, modern Marxism, and anti-colonialists.  He also stated Freire, used the phrase "emancipation through interactive participation" to describe his desired teaching method.
